Help End Pet Overpopulation
Animal Protection and Education has been monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19, a disease caused by the new coronavirus. A decision has been made in consultation with our veterinarian and the Board of Directors to cancel ALL surgical spay and neuter as well as vaccine/wellness appointments effective IMMEDIATELY until Monday March 30th at our Boone Iowa location. Date affected include Monday and Tuesday March 16th and 17th, Saturday March 14th, and Monday and Tuesday, March 23rd and 24th. These dates may be extended as deemed necessary. Should illness or any other issue decrease our staffing significantly, A.P.E. may need to modify our services further.
At this time there are no cases of COVID-19 in Boone County, or involving any of our staff or volunteers. However, we would like to urge caution and highly encourage clients to reschedule any future appointments if they are sick or have recently returned from international travel. APE reserves the right to cancel, refuse, or ask any client to reschedule their appointment at any time if a situation arises where we need to act in the best interest of our limited staff. Clients affected by these closure dates will be contacted at a later date and time to reschedule their appointment and make up dates will be made available at a later time. Thank you for your understanding.
